Thank You!
This is my week of incredible gratitude. Gratitude for Linda Weinstein who started the One Room Challenge (you can read more about it here), Better Homes and Gardens who are a sponsor for this event and mostly to my sponsors and cheerleaders! Please follow along and read the blogs of other participants. There is so much beauty being created!
First of all, I would never have participated in this event had I not met Leslie Carothers of Savour Partnership two years ago. It has been a slow process but my life is changing rapidly now. Without her encouragement and ideas I would not be doing what I am right now.
I realize that I would not be able to do my transformation on the scale that I am if it was not for the generous sponsorships I received. I received sponsorships for cement tile from Beyondfloors.net in Webster, TX and Bati Orient Tile. Laura Flora of Beyondfloors.net secured several sponsors with tiles for me to choose from. I chose the one closest to home since it was easy to pick up the gorgeous cement tile from their warehouse in Houston.
My other sponsor is Seasonal Living which has the most beautiful outdoor furniture and colorful large ceramics (Planters, vases and LED outdoor lamps). Check out the Turquoise Helter Skelter vase in my flowerbed. Here is a link to Seasonal Living magazine created by Leslie Carothers and her partner at Savour Partnership.
I would also like to thank Starfine Furniture in Galveston for the outdoor furniture.
What happened this week!
I thought this was not going to be a very productive week. I was busy with things not related to the ORC and did not have time to redo my planters as I proposed on my weekly list. The painter was supposed to come this week to paint my porch ceiling and back door, but they did not come either. Now the whole schedule is messed up.
Piles of Tiles
The biggest surprise of the week was that Isaac, my tile guy picked up the tiles on Tuesday!
I am not going to to post the whole thing since I would like to save that for my final reveal. All I can say is that is is gorgeous! Even more beautiful than I thought! The job is not finished yet, but hopefully it will all get done this week.
More plants
I did pick up a few more plants to fill in the holes this week. Mostly I bought a few more because the wholesale nursery had my favorite ‘Pink Surprise bush’ in stock again. I am sharing some updated pictures from my new garden.
Love the tile IIse! Nice project some hard work going in there!
